How the Cow Herd Started.
In the Fall of 2000 we bought a dozen proven ten year old cows from Hebbert Charolais located in the sand hills of Hyannis, Nebraska. Since that time we have made two more purchases form Hebbert Charolais of old proven cows. These cows came with a work history, they calved as two year olds, have always calved in a 65 calving season, and have weaned a calf every year. We felt that starting with proven functional cows was an ideal way to start a purebred charolais herd. 

 

About the Bulls.
Our goal at Bentz Farms is to market sound, fertile, muscular bulls that will hold up in any commercial cattlemen’s operation. Our bulls are developed at the Fresno State beef unit on a high roughage ration with the goal of gaining between 2.5 and 3 pounds per day. All bulls have been properly vaccinated and wormed.

The Guarantee.
All bulls are guaranteed throughout the first breeding season against injury or death. If a replacement bull of equal quality is not available at the time, a credit will be issued for the next year sale. All bulls have been semen tested and are ready to breed cows!
